My client is a friendly organisation, which has a medium sized finance function in Grantham.

Job Description

The Assistant Management Accountant will be reporting into a Management Accountant and will be reponsible for the following duties:

  • preparing monthly accrued and prepaid income and expenditure schedules
  • payroll, nominal ledger and TUPE journals
  • setting up monthly accounting spreadsheets
  • investigating accounting variances
  • reconciling nominal ledger balance sheet codes
  • maintaining budget contract spreadsheets
  • setting up invoicing schedules and keeping up to date
  • sales ledger - review the aged debtor report, update the cashflow spreadsheet and action debt where required
  • supporting a junior member of the team

The Successful Applicant

To apply for this role you must have had some experience of management accounts, but you need not have had exposure to all of the duties outlined above. You may be studying AAT, CIMA or ACCA, but this is not essential. You must be available to start work immediately or within one week's time.

What's on Offer

This is initially an temporary role, but it has the potential to become a permanent position. The salary for the permanent position is between £20,000 and £22,000. My client is looking at paying the equivalent hourly rate initially, but candidates with higher hourly rate expectations will be considered.
