My client is a worldwide organisation with these offices for the business based in Southampton.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Support delivery of management reporting for Finance.
  • Manage the relationship with end market teams and Cluster teams, acting as their key point of contact in respect of their P&L and providing the link to the wider Finance team and other supporting functions
  • Proactively provide support to key stakeholders in respect of issue resolution in the management of Cost of Sales, liaising as necessary with the wider team
  • Embrace and implement change and integrated ways of working

Key Accountabilities

- Positively participate in the effective management of Income Statements and Balance Sheet for allocated key markets, while providing support to the Commercial Finance Manager.
Responsibilities for allocated key markets include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of each market including key performance drivers and market dynamics to become an effective partner to stakeholders.
  • Support the management of the Cost of Sales (CoS) line: understand key drivers and assist end markets in preparing variance analysis at key reporting times
  • Support Regional performance analysis by managing restatement of costs to a standard approach and preparing reports detailing Unrealised Profit in Stock
  • Manage, review and challenge recharges below gross margin (e.g. GSD, T&A, Marketing Investment, etc.)
  • Maintain key balance sheet items (Creditors, Debtors)
  • Ensure financial planning at an end market level is robust, challenging assumptions where necessary to ensure integrity of plans.

- Provide end market related inputs to Quarterly updates to the Board for the subset of markets for which responsible.
- Support knowledge transfer into the Financial Controlling team to ensure full alignment between end market and business unit, as well as leverage efficiencies.
- Support end markets in calculation of quarterly transfer pricing updates in line with the LRD model, providing a critical review of the detailed calculations to ensure correct

- Be the first point of contact in Finance for allocated end markets in respect of their P&L
- Develop a culture of service and delivery, with a view to enhance quality and timeliness of delivery.- Support wider team through knowledge transfer and a flexible approach.
- Build a strong network within company to ensure that issues can be quickly identified and resolved.
