About Our Client

My client, a highly successful, market leading business is currently looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their growing team and be part of an award winning business.

The role is to initially cover maternity leave but there is a permanent opportunity within the accounts team at the end of the assignment.

Job Description

Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant:

  • Setting up client invoices on SAGE for all departments
  • Liaise with other departments regarding distribution of invoices and statements
  • Credit control of client invoices
  • Liaising with Billing Authorities, pursuing refunds, seeking empty rate and working on rate minimisation strategies
  • Accurate inputting of non-domestic and council tax rates bills and payment processing for clients
  • Reconciling non-domestic and council tax refunds
  • Communicate portfolio updates to clients
  • Rating Administration - creating new client files/maintaining files for existing clients, maintaining the system

The Successful Applicant


  • Sage (training will be provided)
  • Excel skills-Will be used daily
  • Knowledge of Riverlake & Analyse (training will be provided)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to operate as part of a small team
  • Ability to work independently, work under pressure to meet deadlines and to be a self-starter
  • Speed, accuracy and reliability in numerical and written work
  • Preferably to have worked in a professional services environment
