Job Description

As an Accounts Assistant you will be reporting into the Finance Manager, your duties will include, however are not limited to: undertake bank reconciliations for all bank accounts for the Group, take telephone payments, reconcile sales receipts to banking and purchase ledger receipts, manage the cash forecasting for the Group, process credit card receipts, undertake the reconciliation of the bank to Management Systems and Sage, run CHAPS payments in a timely and cost effective manner, support the Financial Controller towards the achievement of the Group's strategy, goals and objectives, cover in the Purchase Ledger Clerk's absence and any ad hoc duties.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Accounts Assistant will:

  • Have have worked in accounts previously - Essential
  • Have a good understanding of reconciliations - Essential
  • Have a working knowledge of the accounts payable department - Essential
  • Have used Sage previously - Desirable
