About Our Client

My client are a leading organisation in the area are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the business as part of a small but busy team.

Job Description

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be working across the Purchase and Sales Ledgers reporting into our Accountant.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include the following:-

- Assisting the Accountant by maintaining the financial records of the organisation

- Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger responsibilities in terms of ensuring accuracy of information

- Monthly reconciliations of the debtors and creditors accounts and highlighting issues to the Accountant

- Making weekly payment runs via BACS

- Checking, coding and inputting purchase invoices and staff expense claims

- Inputting sales invoices on to Exchequer Accounting System

- Balance Sheet responsibility for inter group debtors and creditors

- Keeping mileage records for P11D purposes

The Successful Applicant

Ideally already working within an Accounts Assistant position, you will be experienced and have the ability to work in this role autonomously.

You will be AAT qualified or have relevant experience and be looking to take the next step in your career to join a forward thinking organisation.

What's on Offer

On offer is a salary of between £18,000 - £24,000 dependant on experience as well as an excellent benefits package including company pension scheme, parking and 23 days holiday.
