About Our Client

My client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant clerk to join their expanding finance team.

Job Description

Accountability/Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of accounts payable invoices
  • Processing and control of debit notes and purchase returns
  • Reconciliation of supplier's statements
  • Dealing with supplier's queries by e-mail, telephone and/or letter
  • Posting of employee expense claims
  • Dealing with post
  • Provide cover for treasury, sales ledger responsibilities in periods of absence of team member(s)
  • Filing as necessary

The Successful Applicant


  • Be able to work within defined guidelines and with minimum supervision

  • Confident at working with staff at all levels

  • Flexible in approach to work and able to cope with change

  • Methodical and accurate approach to work

  • Ability to work as a part of a team

  • Excellent people and communication skills


  • Good PC skills with prior experience of accounting software including MS Office Excel and Word
  • Previous experience of working in a busy financial accounting team
  • Numerate with strong commercial aptitude
  • Good telephone manner
  • Previous use of Baan
