About Our Client

A medium sized, professional services organisation, based in modern offices in the Addlestone area, with free parking provided and easy access via public transport.

The role will also support the Purchase Ledger function when required and there will be the opportunity to get involved in other areas of the finance function. Including maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and calculation of monthly prepayments and accruals

Job Description

The Accounts Assistant role involves;

  • Maintenance of cashbook and reconciliation of all company bank accounts
  • Prepare and process payments to suppliers via Bank software or cheque
  • Monthly reconciliation of main bank account to back office system (SUN)
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset register, calculating and running monthly depreciation process in SUN
  • Raising sales invoices for the non-IFA services provided by the group;
  • Calculation and posting monthly prepayments & Accruals
  • Variety of reconciliation processes
  • Answering and resolving incoming accounts queries
  • Managing the direct debit collection process
  • Assist with Government Statistical reports and VAT returns;
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with your grade, skills and experience.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant role will:

  • ideally be studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA (but not essential)
  • have worked in a similar role previously
  • ideally have intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • live locally
