About Our Client

My client is looking for an all round Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Coventry.

Job Description

  • Managing Purchase Ledger
  • Checking, Coding & Processing Sales invoices
  • Credit Control- Daily to include updating administrative staff on status of accounts
  • Raising Purchase orders
  • Matching, coding and entering of purchase invoices on ledger
  • Weekly debtors & Creditors reports
  • Reconcile to cash book
  • General & ad-hoc duties

This roles requires someone with strong Payroll experience to complete the below duties in a standalone position

  • Checking people's hours
  • Making the monthly payments on time
  • Working out tax and national insurance deductions
  • Setting up new members of staff
  • Calculating overtime
  • Issuing tax forms (P45s for example)
  • Managing special situations like maternity or sick pay

The Successful Applicant

Must have working knowledge of Sage Payroll

Good communicator

Experience of purchase ledger duties

Good attention to detail

Self starter
