About Our Client

My client is looking for an experienced all round Accounts Assistant to join their small but friendly finance team on a permanent basis.

Job Description

  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Preparing statutory accounts.
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
  • Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
  • Managing petty cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper preferably working with SMEs or startups.
  • You have completed, or are in the process of completing your AAT, or equivalent exams.
  • You have strong working knowledge of Excel
  • You are detail orientated, highly organised and can work without direction.
  • You are innovative and willing to look to implement new processes within the finance team around bookkeeping.
  • You have great communication and interpersonal skills, and are able to build strong and productive relationships.
