Job Description

The Accounts Assistant role involves;

In summary, the role is very much a "hands-on" position covering the accounting aspects of our operations.

  • Key duties are:
    • Assist the Accountant in the day to day running of the Accounts Section
    • Download banks on daily basis
    • Reconcile bank statements
    • Chase rent arrears
    • Post receipts to accounts
    • Prepare Bacs run for payments to landlords and suppliers
    • Send supplier statements to landlords
    • Allocate all fees received, both tenant and landlord
    • Assist in the preparation of negotiator and office commissions
    • Assist in the preparation of month end reports
    • Responsible for filing purchase ledger invoices and documentation
    • Liaison with the company's directors and answering queries as they arise
    • Other ad hoc duties as appropriate

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant role will;

  • Have worked in a similar role previously
  • Ideally be studying towards at AAT qualification
  • Have good Excel experience
  • Have strong communication skills

What's on Offer

The Accounts Assistant role can offer between £20-24,000 (possibly up to 26,000 for the right candidate) + study support and other benefits.
