About Our Client

My Client are a well established and reputable brand in the Horsley area. They are currently growing their finance team and require an Accounts Assistant to assist with the transnational finance duties.

Job Description

The Rolw will involve:

  • Assisting in the maintenance of the nominal ledger
  • Processing sales invoices
  • Ensuring proper authorisation of staff expenses, posting and payment of same
  • Assisting in the operation of the company's payroll, administration of BACS payments and ensuring timely payment of PAYE/NI to HM Revenue & Customs
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Administering the reimbursement of petty cash balances to the offices
  • Assisting in the administration of the purchase ledger when necessary
  • Responsible for filing invoices and documentation
  • Assisting Accounts staff in their duties when required
  • Liaison with the company's staff which may involve an element of non-financial administration
  • Reconciliation of key control accounts including VAT, PAYE and inter-company balances
  • Other ad hoc duties as appropriate

  • Accounts experience
  • Good IT skills
  • A desire to study - not essential but ideal
  • Good team player
  • Able to commute to Horsley on a day to day basis
