About Our Client

My client is a leading business in the Engineering sector, with premises based in Glasgow City Centre.

Job Description

The successful Accounts Administrator will have the following responsibilities:

Responsible for administering transactional processes as directed for the department

To administer all aspects of Purchase Ledger, Cashbook, Sales Ledger and Payroll processes as specified to support effective service delivery

Timely processing of all critical documentation, updating systems and maintaining records accordingly

Responding to customer, supplier, and employee inquiries in a timely manner and escalating issues as appropriately until issues are rectified

Integration with internal processes and other departments to ensure pro-active issue identification and remedial action where appropriate

To follow processes and ensure that laid-down standards and procedures are maintained at all times

To support other functions or departments with administrative tasks as required

To ensure that sensitive and commercial information is handled appropriately in line with Company guidelines and in keeping with the Data Protection Act

To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a previous working knowledge of a similar role, and have a strong background in purchase ledger. Good excel skills are preferable.
