About Our Client

Our client is based in Oxford have parking on site. They are well known to the public as a whole, but also for having a supportive working environment and amazing benefits. Although this position is an ongoing temporary position, there is a high possibility for it to go permanent.

Job Description

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of month end accounts for review and submission to head office
  • Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
  • Sales invoicing and credit control
  • Processing employee expense claims
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Other day to day accounting duties including payments to suppliers, customer receipts, VAT and Intrastat returns, stock reconciliations, and general ledger journals and adjustments
  • Providing cover for Sales and Purchasing Administrator

Required Skills for the successful Accounts Assistant:

  • Ability to act quickly and effectively using their own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Have worked in Accounts
