Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be able to move around the different divisions?
When you are offered a place on the Michael Page International Graduate Scheme you will be asked to join a specific office within a specific division. Certainly for the duration of the training scheme you will be expected to remain within that office and division.
Longer term, usually between 2-5 years, it is possible to move between divisions. This process works in the same way that many things do within Michael Page International. We operate in a meritocratic environment. If you put forward a request to move, we will certainly look to accommodate you but will need to see evidence of your hard work, commitment and level of success to reward you with the move you are looking for.
Will you pay for me to relocate?
We do not offer relocation allowances to our graduates. We expect that when you specify locations that you are able to support yourself when moving to that area, should an offer be made.
Once I have secured a place on the graduate scheme can I defer for a year?
We recruit for one year’s intake at a time. Due to the ever-changing nature of our business it is extremely difficult for us to defer start dates as we do not know if the same vacancy will exist the following year. We are therefore unable to defer start dates.
When is the start date?
Our next available graduate intake will be summer 2010.
Can Michael Page International help me with securing a work permit?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications for graduate programmes unless you can provide confirmation that you are legally entitled to work in the UK. If you are invited to an Assessment Centre, we’ll ask to see proof of this in the form of an UK or EEA passport or similar supporting documentation.
