Finning Group (UK) is part of Finning International Inc, the world's largest Caterpillar heavy and general equipment dealer, achieving a revenue of $5.7 billion in 2007 and having 13,000 employees working in Canada, South America and the U.K. We offer a variety of solutions to our customers, providing opportunities for them to purchase, lease or hire new or used quality heavy and general construction plant and equipment.
In early 2008, Finning Group (UK) embarked on a project to centralise the group business support services of its CAT dealership and Hewden equipment hire organisations into a single location at Cannock, Staffordshire together with a Hewden focussed operational and commercial support team in Hewden's existing offices in Manchester.
With an established presence already in Cannock, the new structure affords Finning the opportunity to achieve better integrated IT, finance and services across the group as well as further developing a leadership position through the provision of best operations, best value pricing, best service and the best equipment in the UK market."
The business is split into four lines of business. Three of these operate under the Finning UK dealership for Caterpillar.
Finning (UK) Ltd
Heavy Construction - servicing and supporting customers within the mining, quarrying, waste, demolition, scrap & recycling industries.
General Construction - servicing and supporting customers within the building construction industry
Power Systems - delivering the power solutions required by a diverse range of UK markets and applications including industrial OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), commercial and leisure marine, the oil & gas sector plus electrical power generation and generator rental.,
Hewden
Hewden is the UK's largest and most diverse specialist equipment rental company, providing equipment rental and contract management services to key businesses in virtually every sector of British industry. This year Finning UK and Hewden are proud to be celebrating 75 years and 40 years respectively, of successfully delivering superior service and unrivalled maintenance and support to our valued customers with a commitment to delivering safety first in everything that we do.
