Countrywide plc is a financial services and property services group with an extensive distribution of over 1200 estate agency offices. Established in 1986 Countrywide plc employs over ten thousand people across its 4 main divisions. These are:

CPL was formed to provide the leading service in residential conveyancing within England & Wales. They are the largest single provider of residential conveyancing services in the UK and have centres in Manchester, Cardiff & Northampton.
Formed in 1997, we were initially set up to provide a service to customers referred to us by Countrywide plc’s other subsidiaries. Since then, CPL has grown, and now works with other companies including well known lenders and mortgage advisors.
Operating across the UK, in 2005, we carried out over 100,000 transactions. In addition to this, we currently employ approximately 500 staff, making us by far the largest conveyancer in England & Wales. We are regulated by the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) as a "Recognised Body".
One of the reasons for our success is that we offer a level of service that conventional conveyancing providers cannot match because we are available to our customers from 8.00am to 8.00pm on weekdays and from 9.30am to 4.30pm at weekends. To ensure we offer this level of service we have dedicated legal and customer service teams providing out of hours support.
