About Us
Who are we?
We are the largest provider of housing and care in England for vulnerable people with special needs. Through our network of 578 services we provide support to 11,000 people each year. We work closely with local authorities, probation services and other agencies and have an annual budgeted income of over £75 million. Our service users include:
- Single homeless people;
- People with mental-health problems;
- People with learning or physical disabilities;
- Young people leaving care;
- People who have been in prison or through the courts;
- Women and their children who are escaping domestic violence;
- Refugees/asylum seekers;
- Vulnerable mothers and their babies and;
- People with drug and/or alcohol dependency problems.
We are a non-profit-making organisation and our services are funded mainly by:
- The Housing Corporation;
- Local-authority housing and social services;
- The probation service; and
- Charitable donations.

At Stonham we believe that every individual should be treated with dignity and respect and that people should have the opportunity to exercise control over their own lives. We have over 2500 staff who are totally dedicated to meeting the housing and support needs of all our service users.
